Harlan Vincent lives in Lincoln County, where he and his wife of 30 years, Rhonda, raised a son and a daughter. Harlan and Rhonda recently celebrated the birth of their two grandchildren and practice values of faith, family, and responsibility.
Harlan was born in Clovis, NM, where he worked cattle before moving to Ruidoso, and is a lifelong member of the Republican Party.
Harlan served Lincoln County for 25 years as a fireman and EMT before retiring as the Village of Ruidoso Fire Chief.
Harlan understands the importance of traditional family values and wants the youth of our district to thrive. As a parent and grandfather, Harlan also understands the importance of repairing our state's education system and will promote the primacy of parents in the lives and education of their children within Lincoln and Otero Counties.
Harlan is a proud member of the Gateway Church of Christ and recognizes the sanctity of all human life. Harlan will defend traditional family values, respect the free exercise of religion and recognize the heritage of our shared values.
As an entrepreneur, Harlan understands how challenging the climate can be for business owners in New Mexico, and he will support economic development and jobs by promoting tax policies that adhere to the Constitution.
Harlan will also enhance individual freedom, encourage savings and investment and promote family values.
Harlan is an active and lifelong member of the National Rifle Association (NRA) and believes in the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution, which protects the right to keep and bear arms
Harlan enjoys hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. Harlan also serves as a hunting guide in his free time.
